Treatment of a complex case

In the following case, Prof. Dr. Olze treated a 45-year-old patient. He had gaps between his teeth as well as damaged teeth that needed to be restored. In order to achieve an aesthetically pleasing result that was functionally equivalent to natural teeth, a precise treatment plan first had to be drawn up. The initial situation was a restoration with a removable interim prosthesis.

It was important that the chosen restoration was well tolerated, would last a long time, keep the jawbone healthy and restore the aesthetics of the dentition. The high-quality ceramic material of the bridge, which is attached to the natural teeth, is extremely well tolerated, fracture-resistant and can be optimally adapted in color and shape to the conditions in the jaw. In consultation with Prof. Dr. Olze, the patient chose high-quality products from Dentsply Sirona for the implant-supported dentures. Six Xive S plus implants were placed in the upper jaw and seven in the lower jaw.
